Bridging the gap between the modern human experience and the natural landscape

Coastal Garden Care began on Long Beach Island in 2012 as a simple vegetable garden curation. This small project quickly grew into a deeper discovery of how thoughtful garden design could invite wildlife to create millions of little universes to blend home with nature in transformative and unexpected ways.

As I fell in love with the barrier islands of coastal New Jersey, I became committed to a food garden practice that enhances the land’s natural state. Rather than shaping nature to produce uniform vegetables and a manicured aesthetic, I choose to garden to support native ecosystems while creating spaces that connect us with the natural rhythms of the East Coast. To do that, I learned to embrace gardening as a slow art – one that tells a story about a land’s history to its present day.

My mission is simple; preserve our scenic locale's authenticity, even while growing food, and bridge the gap between the modern human experience and traditional growing practices to create landscapes where both people and nature thrive.

I'm expanding my practice into an experimental virtual shop, curated specifically to share products that do good by the environment and support local and fair trade products, so that the environmental benefits of our gardens aren't degraded by fast, cheap fashion.

I can't wait to hear about your next project and learn how my services and goods can preserve the authenticity of your space.
